Walton County finally puts up temporary wire fencing on 150' of Avalon Beach fencing to cover the gap created by taking the middle board down. Fencing started going up on May 16th. Great work by Skip Atkinson on getting this done. ▲

In early April, the Avalon Board of Directors and Sally Gaskin of the Beach Committee met to make a decision on whether to repair the walkover which was falling apart due to rot and weather. The Board decided to go for it and get it all fixed up before May 1 2012 and the beginning of turtle season. The results can be seen in the pictures below this one. ▲
